Smelling freshly cut lumber makes my body tingle. Seeing it turn into a structure brings a smile to my face! I could study the blueprints of a home for hours. I was meant for this industry!
Scraping floors for my dad’s construction business throughout my teenage years taught me - #1- I didn’t want to scrape floors for a living and #2 – to do a good job the first time so I didn’t have to redo it. As a teenager, I didn’t think much of this tedious work. I was intrigued with homes; I helped design, build, and decorate my own house, a beautiful rambler with lake views, at the age of 21. Talk about sweat equity!; I took a lot of pride in home ownership and learned so much about what it takes to - construct a home. As I look back at those years, I now see it taught me work ethic. I decided to utilize my work ethic, eye for design, heart & passion for building, and pride in a job well done and turn it into a career in which I have the opportunity to serve a community of people.
There is and always will be a burning desire inside me to compassionately serve others. My outgoing, kind-hearted, polite, and “gift to gab” personality comes from my mom. Whether volunteering at school, church, Chamber events, Rotary, or delivering flowers for the local floral shop, I love connecting with people to make a positive impact on their lives.
In my eyes, a home is much more than four walls. As a newlywed, it is where you get to know and understand your spouse. As a new parent, it is where you sing lullabies to your newborn baby. As a mother of a 3-year-old, it is where you find yourself playing nurse & doctor and kissing boo-boos because he falls off his bike and scrapes his knees on the driveway. It is where you sit on your couch eating ice cream at night and watching re-runs of Friends. They still make me laugh! It is that peaceful and safe spot in your heart and mind that says, I’m HOME. I want to help my friends, family, neighbors, and community members find a place they can call home.
My goal is to understand my client’s needs and be their sounding board, providing education, knowledge, facts, and heartfelt insight. I look forward to being your agent of choice and helping you find your new home in beautiful Central Minnesota!
